>> researchers are concerned about a fish that is turning into a new threat to the ecology of lake tahoe. >> biologist with the university of nevada-reno says they're fighting a growing number of giant goldfish in the lake. while officials have been working for years trying to keep the lake's water crystal clear, searchers said the discovery of gold fishes were is because they allot and excrete nutrients. those nutrients stimulates algae growth. some of the goldfish have even grow to 18 in.. it is not clear how the fish got there, but it is believed to be from people dumping aquarium's into the lake. >> 7 day in san francisco making the short list of

launched designed to help commuters get ready for the end of toll takers on the golden gate bridge. in just over a month all tolls will be collected electronically. driver's paying cash of the toll booths get congressional cards, along with their change. the leaflets explain the options for drivers once the system kicks off in late march. new l e d signs were installed on top of the toll plaza structure that will remain in place despite the fact at the booths themselves will be empty. and more sign it is on the way. >> there'll be a 27 ft. long l e v sign that will be added in the next couple of weeks on top of the toll plaza canopy. that will have messaging like keep moving or don't stop whatever it may be as you move into the electronic tolling. the new signs were made to be highly visible even in the rain and fog. >> on to national news this morning. the white house and

for regular unleaded gas. every time you go to the gas they see you are paying more for a gallon of gas than you were just a day ago. we saw the end of last year we had relief over the past few months. once again prices are climbing. let me show you what you can expect to pay in san francisco the price for a gallon of regular gas is $4.19. >> in oakland $4.12. >> in san jose $4.13. >> the statewide average is up 55¢ from this time last month. part of this is due because stations are switching backhat winter blend they use that is why the price has dropped. experts say because the economy is slowly getting better that means demand is increasing. prices also go up because of that. james, i don't think people care why they're going up

a heads up at the toll plaza. the bridge is moving to of all electronic toll in by the end of march. to get more news faster let's turn to our solo reporter jackie sissel. >> good morning jackie. >> the golden gate bridge is moving to an all cash less all electronic system. it will be the first bridge and the state of california to do so. they're trying to get the word out to let drivers know what to expect when that goes into affect. as you said sometime in march they do not have a date just yet. the hope is that will get one. about $16 million over the next couple of years next eight years in fact. how would you were? the cameras will be a big part of how you have to pay your toe. there are three options to their toll. >> let us look at them one by one. >> the first one is fast track. if you have fast-

track nothing will change. you continue to do your fast track that you would normally. you only have to pay $5 as opposed six. the of the plows and other new ones. one day by license plates. you can register your license plates when it takes a picture of your license plates as you go to the toll plaza they will build it and you block. >> the last one that is the one that is more concern for people who have not had to pay at. that is the one where you have to go through the toll plaza get an invoice and if you don't pay the invoice within 21 days yet to that fine. it is paid by invoice. there are three options they're trying to get the word out. they want most people to go ahead and switch over to fast-track as the most convenient. in fact, like some of the people come through the toll plaza on the morning commute have fast track. they want to get the word out. soon no stopping at the toll plaza hoping to improve traffic
